Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A week in Germany, going out and back with BA and the super cheap Avios flights. I went straight to Bad Hersfeld to be ready for a Saturday morning photo shoot at Hermannspiegel, forty-six freights in six hours was excellent! I then made my way to Bingen where I was staying the next six nights. Sunday weather was poor so I did one of the Koblenz open day trips with 169.003. Next day was more bad weather in Rhein so I went for the new 103 diagram on IC118/9 to and from Stuttgart. On the Tuesday I spent the whole day taking photos at Oberwesel and as there was a derailment on right bank of river it meant plenty of freight action on the left bank. Next day we had some sun at Bacharach and then I went south to pick up the 103 again to finish off the day. On Thursday I took a long distance day out to Basel, using the two MRCE 182 diagrams on EC6/7 with the super comfy SBB stock on these trains. Next day a few photos at Oberwesel again, then to Stuttgart for the 103 north to Essen and then to my hotel in Krefeld. Another quick run with the 103 next day and then made my way to the airport and flight back home
