Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

It was time for another ten day trip to South Korea, this time using Emirates via Dubai. This gave me four flights with the massive new Airbus A380 aircraft. I flew from Manchester direct to Dubai which was baking hot even at midnight, and one night at Holiday Inn Express near airport. I made good use of my full day in the city with a very cheap one day ticket on the metro - the perfect way to see the city from the cool train. I did the Burk Khalifa tower for the amazing views of the city and then returned to airport for my flight to Seoul. Once in South Korea we spent first night in Seoul, then one night at Dongdaegu after a few hours taking photos at Gimcheon. Next day we went to Yeongju for the new "V train" to Cheoram and then to the amazing Suncruise ship hotel at Jeongdongjin. The next nights were at Jecheon, Gwangju, Jochiwon and then Dongdaegu again. We covered the Auraji turns a few times as freight sector 75 GT26s were in quite regular use. More new 8500 electric locos were being delivered meaning the 8000 Alsthom can't have long to go now. To finish off the trip we stayed at Jochiwon and Gwangju again and then made our way back to Seoul and return flight to Dubai. Another few hours in the city and then my fourth (all different!) A380 back to Manchester to finish off the trip
