Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

Another wander around Europe, this time armed with four bargain ČD on line tickets between Praha - Germany and two €9 ÖBB - Sž tickets. I flew with BA to Praha and started the day with a local rover to do a few 362 moves. I then set off with an EC to Dresden and worked my way slowly north to Bad Zwischenahn where I was staying for two nights. I had a Niedersachsen ticket the next day to cover my travels. I returned back to Praha next day doing various moves on my way. Same again for my second wander north into DB again stopping off on the way as before for one night at Hannover. Another Niedersachsen ticket the next day and then ending up in Hamburg in the evening for one night. Back to Praha again next day via Berlin this time as Leipzig was in shutdown mode! A Regiojet single to Wien and then a local city ticket to pick up a couple of winners. Next day my bargain ÖBB ticket to Koper via Villach and Ljubljana. Found some 363 action to Sežana which was perfect to get me to Pivka for my one night there. I managed more good 363 moves next day and then to Poljčane for the next four nights. Most days I found some 363 action and over the six days twenty locos worked passenger turns! A visit to Maribor works on the Friday got us up to date on the diesel fleet. I did "Pohorje" to Koper two days running as 363 each day and very limited other moves available. On the Monday afternoon I returned to Wien and as EC210 was well late that meant I could use "Emona" with preferred 363 and 1144 power! Regiojet back to Praha next day and Flybe to Southend as a nice quiet way back home!
