Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A three day trip to France to use one of the excellent value €20 weekend Normandie tickets. We took Eurostar (new plastic set) to Paris-Nord and then went over to St-Lazare where we had €15 advance web tickets to Le Havre for one night there. We left the hotel early to cover the first Paris which we were expecting a 15000 on but it was a pair of carts! Thankfully there was another move available which was one of the few trains a day all the way down the branch to Rolleville. Pitch dark of course but worth doing and enough light to get an atmospheric photo at the end of the line. The next Paris was OK and taken to Rouen-Rive-Droite for an hour and then an ACG forward to Bernay for our travels on the main line towards Caen. First we took 15021 to Lisieux and dropped back there for the next IC to Trouville-Deauville. However a pair of double deck carts was most certainly not what we wanted but with no other move available we took it anyway. The rest of the day was spent between Caen and Évreux Normandie with four Sybics and a couple 15000s being sampled. The next day we did two trips to Cherbourg all with Sybic power, sunny but very strong winds! We returned to Paris on Monday morning and had one day Mobilis tickets chasing the 7600s out of Montparnasse and then to Est for 67515 to Meaux on the first La Ferte-Milon, back on an EMU for Eurostar back home. The allocated comfortable old set was replaced with a new plastic one, backward facing seats against a large plastic panel!
