Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

I returned to Germany to resume my Global InterRail, I had intended to fly to Berlin but the flight was well late so went to Hannover instead for the night. IC to Berlin and then EC to Poznań and TLK to Warszawa. I had pre-booked five nights at the Ibis Budget Reduta at an incredible €9 a night! So lots travelling radiating from Warszawa first few days quite a few runs with the excellent EP08 class. I made my way south via Radom and Stalowa Wola, slow but new track. I managed an EP08 from Przemyśl - Kraków! Next day moved on to Slovakia to be position for the annual top'n'tail 749s from Vrútky - Trstená and then to Ostrava for one night. Next more ZSSK travels and two nights at Pezinok. Some ÖBB travelling and a relief train from Wien - Innsbruck did the new freight line avoiding St Pölten which I used as my way into Italy and one night on Bologna. Then south to Trani and a chase of the elderly 444 “Turtle” power, sadly the weather was foul and not nice at all. I returned north to Milano for a night and the into France via Modane which is possible via loco hauled trains on winter weekends. I had one night in Chambéry and then via SBB to Basel and Strasbourg and the new TER with Sybic power and then a 15000 to St-Dizier and onto Paris for three nights and some good luck in chasing required Sybics. Finally a night in Dôle ready for my flight home next day
