Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A one week trip to east coast of USA and Canada, I few with a brand new 777 to Philadelphia and soon caught up with Neil who’d to Baltimore. First target was a pair of Genesis on the “Crescent” from Philadelphia but we get an E60 instead. We did get a pair forward from Washington and stayed in Alexandria for the night. Next day we did the new southbound “Twilight Shoreliner” with P42 44 for the run to Newport News where we had a few hours before returning back north all the way to Boston. We returned via Worcester and the inland route and back to New York, then a Yonkers and back and then the LIRR turn with top’n’tail FL9AC to Jamaica. After doing the Oyster Bay branch we stayed at Port Jefferson for the night. After most of the day around Patchogue, Babylon, Speonk and Long Island City we end up in Poughkeepsie for one night. Up to Albany-Rensselaer next day and the out and back on the Boston section on the “Lake Shore Limited” to Springfield and back to Albany-Rensselaer for one night. After a morning on the Hudson we take train 71 “Adirondack” all the way to Montreal for our last night. LRC power out and back to Drummondville next morning, then some elderly GM F7 power on STCUM and an old banger 747 back to London
