Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A two week trip to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. We flew to Frankfurt/M and stayed there before going to Bamberg where we managed some nice shots of the Berlin - Nürnberg ICE services which were in their last few days of being covered by top'n'tail 120s. Next day we had couple of hours at Hirschaid and then made our way to Gemünden via Würzburg. In the late afternoon we got super photos from the bridge at Retzbach-Zellingen and we returned to. Next day we went Himmelstadt and then walked high up in the vineyards for a lovely eastbound photo of westbound trains with the river in the background. In the evening made our way north to Bad Hersfeld via Schlüchtern and Fulda. Early bus to the excellent photo spot at Hermannspiegel for a few hours and then to Koblenz via the Emmelshausen branch. As the weather had turned poor I had a day on the trains on the Friday and returned to Frankfurt/M for the next. Next day was the TEE special with 103.184 to Lindau via Zürich! I then stayed at Seuzach a few days in Switzerland. I them moved on to Slovenia and had some time taking photos at Šikole and Ormož. Woke up at Poljčane to find a 664 on the train to Maribor Studenci which was huge track for me and there continued to be a shortage of DMUs so I kept busy on extra 664 turns. I then moved over to Divača and went to Pula on the first loco hauled train for many years! It was then to Graz next day and the flight home
