Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A six day visit to Norway and Sweden. We flew to Oslo and took night train to Trondheim for nice long run to Mo i Rana and back on Di4 power. New day we did Thamshavnbanen narrow gauge railway running from Bårdshaug - Løkken. The tiny blue loco was built in 1908 and makes the most incredible noise, first time I've heard an electric loco sounding more like a steam loco! The line is electrified at 6,600 AC and is the worlds oldest AC powered railway. Next day we took day train to Bodø and than back on night train to Trondheim and then via Hamar to Åndalsnes to travel with Di3.602 on cruise ship specials to Bjorli. Back to Trondheim then for night train to Oslo. I made a trip to Karlstad before heading to airport and flight home
